Boilers

A boiler produces heat for a water- or steam-based system. Heated water or steam is piped from the boiler to radiators, baseboards or other heat emitters to heat the rooms. Water systems are highly versatile, supporting applications such as heating, water heating, radiant heat, hydro air and snowmelt.

We install systems from many manufacturers, including all the following:

Buderus

Buderus Buderus boilers and controls are designed in Europe, where fuel costs are significantly higher than in the U.S. and environmental regulations are more stringent. Models like the G115 are constructed with the highest quality materials and designed to maximize the heating value of every ounce of fuel. The triple-pass design holds the gases in the boiler longer, allowing the cast iron to absorb the maximum amount of heat. A 3" jacket of thermal insulation encases the entire boiler block to reduce standby losses. When paired with the Logamatic control, a Buderus boiler can vary its output temperature to match the weather and avoid room temperature swings.

Burnham

Burnham Burnham Hydronics offers the broadest range of oil-fired boilers in the industry and includes many products that meet the government's ENERGY STAR® guidelines. Burnham's V8 oil-fired boiler is designed for quiet operation while providing years of reliable and efficient service. It is available in multiple heating capacities that can be configured for water or steam, with or without a tankless hot water heating coil. Burnham's MPO boiler, with an AFUE of 87%, is one of the most efficient and reliable boilers in the industry.

Energy Kinetics

Energ Kinetixs Energy Kinetics is a manufacturer of innovative, high-efficiency heating systems. The System 2000 combines heat and hot water with a single high-efficiency appliance to maximize efficiency in all seasons, with the additional benefits of virtually unlimited hot water and whisper quiet operation. The system's Hybrid Energy Recovery® Cycle makes sure no heat is left wasted in the boiler.

Peerless

Peerless Peerless is one of world's leading manufacturers of cast-iron boilers, with a variety of models suitable for chimney venting or direct venting (without a chimney). Direct-vent models make great replacements for electric heating or heat pumps. High-efficiency models that achieve the ENERGY STAR® rating will reduce fuel consumption and save money. All Peerless boilers feature an insulated, enameled steel jacket that reduces heat loss.

Viessmann

Viessmann Viessmann is one of the world's largest manufacturers of heating equipment. Based in Germany, the company builds high-efficiency equipment that incorporates the latest design features and advanced electronic controls. Viessmann is a leader in hybrid energy systems that integrate solar energy to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and produce fewer emissions. Viessmann boilers are as attractive as they are efficient, with a distinctive red/gray shell that gives the heating system a bold, eye-catching look.

Hydro Air

Hydro Air systems blend the efficiency and control of a boiler or hot water heater with the air distribution of a warm air system. The boiler feeds heated water to coils located in an air handler, where the air absorbs the heat and distributes it through the building. Hydro air technology can facilitate the use of zoned heat in a warm-air system. The same duct system can also serve a central air conditioning system.

Radiant Heat

Uponor Radiant heat is highly desirable for its comfort and efficiency. In place of baseboards and radiators, it uses large surfaces such as floors to emit heat. Heated water is piped under floors and through large radiant panels to provide a very satisfying quality of heat that radiates from the floor or panel.

Radiant heat can achieve higher efficiency than baseboard heat because it uses lower temperature water with larger radiant surfaces. Modern boilers equipped with advanced controls can use radiant emitters to produce the same amount of heat with less fuel and without noticeable changes in room temperature. With the addition of mixing valves, one boiler can deliver high-temperature water to baseboards in one part of the house while feeding lower-temperature radiant emitters in another part of the house.

We build custom radiant and snow melt systems using components from top manufacturers including Uponor.

Water Heaters

Water heating accounts for about 15% of a typical home's energy use, so you can take a big bite out of your energy budget by upgrading to a more efficient system. If you are running out of hot water too quickly or your water heater is more than 10 years old, please give us a call or contact us, and we'll evaluate your current system and explain your options.

If you heat your home by boiler, you have a choice in your replacement water heater: a direct, oil-fired heater with a storage tank or an indirect water heater that utilizes the boiler for water heating and stores heated water in a tank. The American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy recommends an indirect system or a combined heat/hot water system as the most efficient choice.

Bock

Bock Recognized as the leader in oil-fired water heaters, Bock provides quality in construction, efficiency in performance and durability in operation. The company's patented multi-finned Turboflue® transfers more than twice as much heat to the domestic water as its competitors, minimizing heat loss up the chimney. What does this mean for you? A hotter, quicker shower; energy and water conservation; and lower bills.

Buderus

Buderus Buderus hot water tanks provide clean, pure, and reliable hot water comfort for many years. Oil Tanks

Oil tanks are well built and durable, but they all require replacement eventually, and it's vital to replace your tank while it is still sound. We inspect, test and evaluate existing tanks and recommend a proactive approach to protect your home, your property and the environment.

Is Your Tank In Shape?
oil tank checklist.
The only correct time to replace a tank is near the end of its life but while it's still in good condition, and every Oilheat customer should have a realistic plan regarding tank replacement. We offer comprehensive tank services, including the TankSure program, which provides regular ultrasonic inspections and partial payment for a replacement tank. If your tank does not require replacement now, you'll gain peace of mind knowing it has been evaluated.

If the tank is ready to be replaced, we'll help you select a suitable model from one of our outstanding manufacturers. We'll remove your old tank with care and dispose of it in compliance with state regulations. If we're removing or abandoning an underground tank, we'll use clean, high quality fill and restore the surface with care so that the original grade is retained. Before we install your new tank, we'll review your options on tank size, shape and placement - and perhaps even help free up floor space. While installing your new tank, we will ensure that it is level and stable, and we'll connect the tank to the burner with a durable sleeved oil line.

To request an evaluation of your tank, please call us today or send us an e-mail.
